On April 4, the department of Surgery held their Annual Jameson L. Chassin Dinner at The Princeton Club in midtown Manhattan. The Chassin dinner invites friends, alumni, colleagues, faculty and housestaff to commemorate Dr. Chassin's dedication to the field of Surgery and New York Hospital Queens. Dr.Chassin was the firs t Chairman of Surgery at the New York Hospital of Queens.

The highlight of the evening was a talk given by the distinguished guest speaker Dr. Barbara Lee Bass, M.D. John F. and Carolyn Bookout Distinguished Endowed Chair from The Department of Surgery at The Methodist Hospital in Houston Texas on "The future of Surgery Residency....Where are we going?"
