CRT Surgical Associates - NYHQ Department of Surgery

As an affiliate of Weill Medical College, NYHQ hosts a continual influx of medical students. Students opt to perform their surgery clerkships at NYHQ for a variety of reasons: an academic environment in the setting of a community hospital, accessible housestaff, hands-on experience in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and participation in community clinics (breast, general surgery, etc). Students rotate through the hospital year-round in eight-week blocks during their third year and occasionally during fourth year sub-internships. We host anywhere from five to ten medical students during this time.
